As we raised the flag yetaerdsy morning, to open the new Three Rivers Charter School here in Fort Bragg, the students, staff, parents and community supporters were all saddened as we lowered the flag to Half-mast, in honor of our fallen HERO, Jere. Jere was a constant advocate and champion for the youth in our community. Words can't express the sorrow and loss this community has endured because of this senseless act of violence. I sincerely extend my love and prayers to Jere's family, and to our greater community.
